What Love
Paul Meyer
Stephen Bourjilay, a design engineer for a computer company based in the Arizona desert, is heading for a nervous breakdown. Family life in their gated community is becoming increasingly weird.
His wife, BB, an advertising guru, is obsessed with marketing pine-scented cat-litter, leaving their twin daughters in the incapable hands of their grandparents. Grandad's inoperable brain tumor is having a Jekyll and Hyde effect turning him from a gentle geriatric into an aggressive old groper while Grandma 's drinking has gotten out of hand.
Something has got to give. Visions of Charles Mingus, death, rape, illegal immigration these are just some of the things in which Bourjilay manages to implicate himself in this acerbic portrayal of middle-class social mores.
