James Riordan
James Riordan is fluent in Russian and worked as a translator in Moscow for five years, translating a range of literature, sport and socio-political work from Russian into English. In recent years he has translated short stories and the war diaries and dispatches of the Russian writer Vasily Grossman.
He holds a PhD, an honorary doctorate and the role of Professor Emeritus at Surrey University, and is currently Visiting Professor at the University of Worcester.
